the deanne taylor theatre
Named after founding artistic director Deanne Taylor, the DTT is a flexible, black-box theatre located on 10 Busy St. in Toronto. Seats are armless with padded seats and backs.
It is available for rehearsal, performance, and filming. Subsidized rates exist for non-profit renters. Rentals are done by the day or week, hourly rentals are generally not permitted.

Standard Configuration: Sheridan risers facing east, raked audience seating, proscenium style. Aprox. 54 seat capacity.
In The Round: floor level and single riser seating. Aprox. 82 seat capacity.
Thrust: floor level and single and double riser seating. Aprox. 80 seat capacity.

The DTT is available on a weekly basis at a subsidized rate of $4,000 + HST for charities, non-profits and indie artists.
This rate includes:

A supervisor/site rep or technician is required anytime a renter is in the space.
Technicians are required for load-in, load-out, and any time a technical element is being used.
The included 40 hours of supervisor/technician time can be allocated towards technicians, site reps, or front of house staff.
Additional time over 40 hours a week is booked on an hourly basis with a 4 hour minimum call time for all staff.
FOH staff are billed at $27/hr + HST. Technicians are billed at $30/hr + HST.
The DTT is occasionally available for daily rentals at the rate of $500 + HST for charities, non-profits and indie artists.
This rate includes a site rep but not a technician - if tech is required, they are billed at $30/hr + HST for a minimum 4 hour call.
Bookings for private events, filming, or corporate/commercial start at $2,000 + HST a day.
